What is the potency of the supplement?

Written by Jamie

This is where the debate gets interesting. What can determine the potency of the plant?

Simple. The active levels of P57 in your hoodia supplements. But it is not that simple.

They generally range between 0.1%- 0.45%, but as we previously discussed the majority of supplements probably only contain 0.1%. So which one is right?

Both. If you can find a supplement that contains a higher potency of P57 than 0.1% then great, but if it doesn’t… it doesn’t matter.

Remember, P57 is not the only active ingredient within the core of the Hoodia Gordonii plant. No. There are many more hidden molecules within – which have nothing to do with appetite suppression – and which cannot be isolated.

So you have got to ask yourself this? If the Kalahari Bushmen managed to suppress their appetites simply be eating the core of the plant for hundreds of years.

No added science or capsules, but just the core itself. Then as long as your supplements are only made from the aerial stem of the Hoodia Gordonii plant, then your appetite should be effectively be suppressed too.

Either way, 0.1% or 0.45%, all sites should display results from a test called High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) which is the best way to reveal the true potency of your supplements.
