80% of Hoodia products not work at all. Shocking! 8 out of 10 do not contain real Hoodia or the type of Hoodia plant we need. And these unfortunately are just the ones that were willingly sent to Alkemist Pharmaceuticals for testing. In truth there are probably hundreds more out there that too are not the real deal. But don’t worry. We will tell you how to spot those products.
#1 Which Hoodia plant has been used?
If you can’t find, the product is fake!
If you find a Hoodia product that doesn’t identify what type of Hoodia plant it is, then more than likely you are looking at a supplement that contains the wrong type of Hoodia. Lots of companies will try to trick you by being vague as to which Hoodia plant they mean. If you come across a supplement whose ingredients simply say ‘hoodia’ then put it back.
“What is the reason?” – you may ask.
There are 13 types of Hoodia plant, but only one of them contains the active molecule P57 which have been proven to effectively suppress your appetite. This is the Hoodia Gordonii plant. It is highly probable that they have opted to use 1 of the 13 other Hoodia plants that exist.
#2 What part of the Hoodia Gordonii plant has been used?
If it’s other than the aerial stem (the core) of the plant, the product is fake!
Of the Hoodia Gordonii plant itself, only its core contains the active molecule P57. The other parts of the plant – its leaves, flowers and roots – are just redundant and essentially offer nothing in terms of weight loss.
Although the leaves and flowers of the Hoodia Gordonii plant can offer nothing in relation to weight loss, many companies choose to use them. Even if a company is claiming to be using 100% pure Hoodia Gordonii, this might not be strictly true if they’re using the whole of the plant to make the supplement. You are probably only getting a small portion of the plants active ingredient.
#3 Are there any other ingredients?
If there are others, the product is fake!
As we mentioned above only the core of the Hoodia Gordonii plant can suppress your appetite. So if you find any else on the ingredient list such as caffeine or fillers then you’re NOT receiving pure Hoodia Gordonii. Many companies have chosen to incorporate other ingredients to save on costs and supplies.
The problem here is that they’re reducing your chances of achieving real weight loss, by reducing the effectiveness of the supplement.
The only ingredients you should be seeing on your packaging is the core of the Hoodia Gordonii plant, and the ingredients used to make up its capsules: gelatine, magnesium stearate and stearic acid. Spot anything else on the ingredients list and you are not getting an effective weight loss pill.
#4 Is it an extract?
If it’s an extract, the product is fake!
There is no such thing as a 100% Hoodia Gordonii extract. Anyone who claims to be selling one is lying to you, because all ‘extract’ exactly means is that you’re receiving only 60% of the plants core.
Now you can spot fake Hoodia products and can recognize those supplements containing 100% pure Hoodia Gordonii. Keep these four questions in mind, and make sure that you thoroughly check your chosen products ingredients list before you invest.
One such supplement that has passed all these tests is UniqueHoodia. Clinically tested by Alkemist Pharmaceuticals, UniqueHoodia has been found to contain 100% pure unaltered Hoodia Gordonii, as well as offering:
- A 2,000 calorie reduction every day,
- 10,000 times the productivity of glucose at suppressing your appetite,
- Increased energy and self esteem.
With results like these it’s no wonder that it’s so popular. It works.
